Highlights of a significant year!
2023 was not only a busy year but a year of donating to others, personal accomplishments, family milestones, hard work and finishing tasks that will make certain that we (me and mine) will enter 2024 and hit the ground running!
From donating to Wesley Relief after the Anniversary Weekend floods in January to donating First Kai meal kits to students via the AUTSA, buying and donating a coffee machine to a family member's cafe in Tonga, and helping victims of a fire that destroyed several houses part of the Tokaikolo Church in Mangere, we've strived to help more in 2023.
This year was also the year I finished my Master of Business degree! I also recently completed my graduation by walking the stage at Spark Arena to collect my parchment. AUT has been great for me so I have always given back so resumed my role as a marking assistant, mentored business students, and been a research participant. Also, I am a teaching assistant for the UniPrep program based on AUT South Campus which will be exciting!
2023 was also significant for my mother who turned 80 years young! Also, other birthdays were celebrated at our go-to eatery - Denny's New Lynn! Fortunately, meeting friends and catching up over good food was rare but so good, especially from Poke Bowl House in Victoria Park, Lim Chhour foodcourt on K'rd and Newsfeed at AUT. I also had time to enjoy a staycation at the Cordis Hotel as a reward for being the overall Beyond Award winner, travel to Tonga to finish previous renovation work before the global pandemic and volunteer at the Charity Corner shop in Mount Roskill.
With life being so busy little time had been left to spend on Lelei 'o Tonga which I am sad about but I am releasing a new product tomorrow which I hope will be the catalyst of further products that I have been working on. At the end of the day, I will just keep working as hard as I can to offer these great products and services.
Happy New Year to you all and hope you have a wonderful and rewarding 2024!!!
